5 out of 5 stars Invaluable Reference   November 24, 2008

This reference for private detectives and security personnel is also a great guide for lawyers who might be called upon to advise on the legal pitfalls of the investigative field. A myriad of subjects are covered, including search and seizure, legal use of trackers, surveillance issues, stalking, trespassing, eavesdropping and a host of other subjects. I recommend the book to anyone who has an interest in the investigative field, whether he or she be student or an experienced detective.

This book is a tremendous resource to any PI or Security Officer! I wish I had something like this 30 years ago when I started in the business. It's like having a lawyer in your pocket! I highly recommend this book to any Investigator or Guard. Anyone working without this great resource is working at a tremendous handicap.

As a private Investigator, and vice president of a large metropolitan detective agency, this book became an instant companion on my desk as well as my vehicle. Litigation awareness is critical in our industry and this book is invaluable to me and to others in my agency. I love it!

This book is a great legal reference book and a must for any private detective. I would reccommend that any attorney, corporation or person hiring a private detective insist that the detective read this book to protect themselves and the detective from breaking the law.
